You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the AVIATION SUPPORT DETACHMENT DEPARTMENT of ASD MAYPORT FL.

Duties

You will serve as the Aviation Support Detachment (ASD) Director and the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aviation logistics matters. You will implement Supply/Logistics Program policy and will be responsible for the management, direction and administration of a complex and dynamic supply organization. You will provide the Regional Supply Officer Management advice, recommendations and guidance in all aspects of supply operations. You will coordinate the functions/operations of personnel and aviation material to ensure successful and efficient accomplishment of the Supply/ Logistics Program mission. You will plan and develop departmental programs; organizations, systems and procedures for optimum utilization of resources. You will prepare budgets and studies; manage the Navy Stock Fund for tenant squadrons, FRC (Fleet Readiness Center), and deployed squadron. You will conduct inventories in accordance with establish schedules and special requests; reconcile stock record balance and money value, and administer the quality assurance program. You will exercise the full authority and responsibility of management, direction and administration for the detachment, which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You will thoroughly train and develop new officers in aviation supply support procedures. You will exercise direct and indirect supervision over approximately 60 civilian and military personnel. You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates based on priorities, with selective consideration of the difficulty and the requirements of the assignment and the capability of the employees. You will evaluate subordinates' performance, approve or disapprove leave, give advice, counsel and instruction to individual employees on both work related and administrative matters. You will act as Chief financial advisor for an Aircraft Operations Maintenance (AOM) annual budget in excess of $100 million.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of Aviation Supply Support procedures especially the NAMP Manual COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2(series), Supply Operations Manual (SOM) COMNAVAIRFORINST 4415.1(series) and NAVSUP WSS instructions to ensure effective support of all aircraft and support equipment. Experience applying Allowance Requirement Register (ARRs) and procedures for modifying the Shore Aviation Consolidated Allowance List (SHORCAL) to reflect new or updated aircraft, weapons systems and support equipment. Experience applying knowledge of Aircraft Equipment Configuration Lists (AECL) to validate between on board activities and NAVSUP WSS on a continuous basis. Experience applying knowledge of Work Unit Code (WUC) manuals to relate a work unit code to a specific aircraft system. Experience applying knowledge of the Logistics Management Systems, methods and techniques to ensure a full understanding of the procurement, repair, and redistribution of assets.
