About the Position: Senior specialist, directing, guiding, reviewing, and approving the processes for performing and integrating ammunition logistics management functions into ammunition program planning, forecasting, evaluation, and execution, where applicable.
Duties
Provide assistance in all facets of ammunition life cycle management, including supply, maintenance, transportation, production, acquisition, budgeting, pricing, and program execution as assigned.
Monitor and evaluate ammunition program status and milestone reports and communicate potential problem areas.
Review new policies, procedures, and regulations to analyze impacts on strategies, problem solutions, program plans, and team objectives.
Present, coordinate, and develop briefings to Command Group, higher headquarters or private industry on new and existing mission assignments and analysis of on-going performance.
Plan, coordinate, direct, and analyze team member efforts that will enable accomplishment of overall objectives of assigned programs/efforts.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position, which requires Acquisition certification, Advanced Career level certification, Life Cycle Logistics, within 48 months of entrance on duty.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:
1) Assisting with coordinating activities in entire ammunition logistics lifecycle functional area to ensure effective support; 2) Presenting briefings on established and new mission requirements; and 3) Monitoring status on assigned ammunition program to identify potential problem areas. The definition of specializes experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/ level position in the federal service (GS-12).
