Duties
Prepares a variety of correspondence, briefing charts and reports for the Director. Arranges appointments and meetings, makes travel arrangements and maintains the calendar for the Director.
Prepares time cards, maintains records, files and other data as required. Screens calls, visitors, provides general information, answers questions pertaining to routine matters.
Assists in arranging various command events and functions such as Town Hall Meetings, Changes of Command, etc.
Assists the Administrative Officer with the Government Travel Card Program; the Personnel Security Program; the Purchase Card Program; correspondence control; and other areas as required.
Serves as the Command's point of contact for DoD Building Passes and Common Access Cards. Uses a GSA vehicle to make periodic distribution / coordination visits to the DoD Building Pass Office, the Army Security Office, and other offices.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier Ill background investigation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service, see www.sss.gov
- Position, duty hours, location and/or activity are subject to change based on mission requirements.
Qualifications
1. Work experience that includes a practical application of the above described or related work experience.
2. Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise and grammatically correct manner.
3. Must have knowledge of Army administrative policies and procedures.
4. Must have knowledge of military protocol procedures to arrange special events and functions. Must be able to use a variety of software programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
5. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in the local commuting area.
