About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US Cyber Center of Excellence, Fort Eisenhower, GA.
Duties
Assist the supervisor in developing procedures to properly plan and coordinate, and execute all visits with office personnel, and the other involved command employees, the necessary actions required to accomplish protocol functions.
Manages the billeting program for distinguished visiting domestic and foreign General Officers and dignitaries.
Maintains, analyzes, and coordinates contracts associated with official functions.
Provides advice to the Protocol Officer and Chief of Staff on matters pertaining to legal use of funds for official events.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated Special Sensitive. The employee must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Positions which require incumbents to maintain a top secret are subject random testing. The incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).
- Requires unusual hours; may work nights and/or weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a civilian driver's license.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by facilitating all need of visits to including appropriate seating, flag placement, decorations, menus base on cultural, religious, or other background specific for the visitors, receiving lines, and table arrangement to provide proper accommodates requirements; managing the billeting program for distinguished visiting domestic and foreign General Officers and dignitaries to ensure all requirements are met; providing advice and assistance to the Protocol Officer, Chief of staff, directors, commanders, the Commanding General, Deputy to the Commanding General and their Families and staffs on matters pertaining to protocol and customs of the Army and other services as well as customs and courtesies of other countries; maintaining historical and statistical data on official visitor for the command.
