About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Assists in facilitating the conduct of visits to the USACyber COE and Fort Eisenhower by general officers, foreign delegations of all ranks, and distinguished civilians of equivalent rank or higher .
Plans menus based on research, or own knowledge of cultural, religious, or other background specific to a distinguished visitor.
Manages and maintains the installation VIP database to include on/off post key leadership, local community civic leaders, retired General Officers/CSMs.
Manages the billeting program for distinguished visiting domestic and foreign General Officers and dignitaries.
Maintains records of all billeting.
Provides advice to the Protocol Officer and Chief of Staff on matters pertaining to legal use of funds for official events.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Position is designated Special Sensitive. The employee must be able to obtain and retain a Top-Secret security clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- The incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R (Condition of Employment for Certain positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program).
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
- Requires unusual hours; may work nights and/or weekends.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a civilian driver's license.

This position is in the Technician/ Administrative Support Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.
To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Coordinating official social events for the command group. 2) Managing the installation database for key leadership, local community civic leaders and retired General Officers and CSM's to ensure appropriate invitations and guest lists are formulated, 3) Maintaining records of billeting for the billeting program, and 4) Providing advice on matters pertaining to the legal use of funds for official events.
