This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for USACE Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

Serve as agency’s technical expert on management and disposal of real property. Provide supervision, oversight, direction, execution, coordination, and evaluation of the real estate management and disposal program by leading and directing a diverse team of real estate professionals. Ensure assigned Branch meets organizational deadlines and effectively communicate project and personnel status to leadership. Oversee branch operations by administering training, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to maximize program efficiency using available resources. Negotiate complex real estate actions that are critical, controversial, and/or unusual in nature.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Duty Travel 25% of the time.
• A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. For Supervisory Realty Specialist, GS-1170-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes performing real estate procedures which includes applying knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Federal and Army real estate procedures associated with the management and disposal of Federal real property interests; supervising a team assigned to execute the acquisition of real estate interests and all associated actions; resourcing a diverse team in the execution of real estate products and services. Some Federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required specialized experience. This job has no substitute of education for experience.
