This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Real Estate Personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Serve as agency’s technical expert on lease acquisition. Provide supervision, oversight, direction, execution, coordination, and evaluation of the real estate leasing program by leading and directing a diverse team of real estate professionals. Ensure assigned Branch meets organizational deadlines and effectively communicate project and personnel status to leadership. Oversee branch operations by administering training, delegating tasks, and providing guidance to maximize program efficiency using available resources. Negotiate complex leases that are critical, controversial, and/or unusual in nature.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing real estate procedures which include applying knowledge of directives, laws, policies, and regulations relating to Federal and Army real estate procedures associated with the leasehold acquisition of Federal real property interests; supervising a team assigned to execute the acquisition real estate interests and all associated actions, resourcing a diverse team in the execution of real estate products and services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12) Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
