About the Position: Provides support to Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal (ACC-RSA). ******This supervisory position is subject to a salary control point equivalent to $144.681

Duties

Performs the full range of supervisory duties and responsibilities. Responsible for the management and direction of the civilian personnel program, involving extensive coordination and independent planning, implementation, and monitoring/evaluation. Exercise independent judgment and has full delegated responsibility for directing the short- and long-range planning and development of the civilian personnel program. Provide innovative and sound civilian personnel advice and expertise to higher-level officials and to subordinate/staff managers and supervisors to resolve complex personnel issues. Identifies the need for and takes action to implement new policy or program directions as required by higher echelons. Ensures all policy, regulatory, and program issuances are properly integrated and coordinated with other staff actions and fully supportive of mission requirements and the Federal Merit System Principles.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • This position requires Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) 5%.
  • This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position is designated as a mission essential position. The employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

This is a Department of Defense (DoD) Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position. Within AcqDemo, NH-04 is equivalent to the GS-14 - 15 grade levels.
