This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business & Technical Management Professional Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: The Program Executive Office, Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS) is responsible for providing world-class affordable, relevant and sustainable ground combat vehicles to Joint Warfighters.
Duties
Serves as the Strategic Communications Specialist for the Program Executive Officer (PEO).
Provides direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities pertaining to strategic communications for the PEO.
Responsible for planning, advising, preparing, and coordinating information on a wide variety of programs and functions to higher authority.
Supports PEO and Staff with various graphic support, graphics software, and briefing support.
Vido development for awareness and communication of PEO mission and accomplishments. Serve as the PEO informational historian for briefs, portfolios and organizational structure.
Oversees day-to-day management of strategic communications activities and provides leadership for internal and external projects to meet communications needs.
Participates in discussions and conferences concerning long-range planning and strategic communications matters.
Performs daily activities which require routine use of various multimedia systems, including graphics and video software.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel away from your permanent duty station requirement of up to 5% of the time.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the NH-02 pay band in the Federal government, performing work that involves: (1) provide direction for all operations and activities pertaining to strategic communications; (2) prepare video development for awareness and communication of organization's mission and accomplishments; (3) develop and disseminate informational materials to the general public or specialized target groups for an organization; and (4) maintain working relationships with internal and external Army stakeholders.
The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent).
