About the Position: This position is in the U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM), CG's Initiatives Group (CIG). The U.S. Army Tank-automotive & Armaments Command manages the Army's ground equipment supply chain, which constitutes over 60 percent of the Army's total equipment
Duties
Provides executive level strategic planning for Senior Leadership throughout TACOM on assigned TACOM programs and issues.
Attends meetings and conferences to capture the CG’s philosophy, thoughts, guidance, and decisions.
Develops strategies, methods, approaches, and procedures for war-gaming strategic plans and rules of engagement.
Evaluates, coordinates and develops alternative perspectives based on supporting documents.
Conducts and provides a senior level advocate review of all TACOM operations and training concepts, programs, organizational designs and events.
Conducts high level meetings, informational and decision briefings; both informal and formal action officer level meetings to ensure decision and policies are implemented in an effective and timely manner.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
- TDY up to 50%
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
