About the Position: You will assist and advise the Chief and Deputy of the Engineering Division on the formulation, development and direction of administrative and personnel management policy matters and provide administrative and clerical services required to support the Division mission.

Duties

Support the Division Chief, Deputy, and supervisors on a variety of personnel functions to include the employee performance management, employee incentive program, and coordinating personnel actions through Human Resources Office. Serve as the Division liaison for logistics, travel issues, manpower and resource management. Perform personal assistant duties for the Division Chief and Deputy to include maintaining calendars, preparing travel orders, preparing files for meetings, and managing correspondence to and from the office.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business management/administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. For GS-08: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Supporting management on administrative functions such as workforce analysis, position management, employee training and development, property management, security, and logistics; Compiling information for papers, organizational charts and/or special reports; Preparing, proofreading, and/or editing correspondence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as business management/administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages. ACCREDITATION: Education must be accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for the education to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by the accrediting agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education ( https://ope.ed.gov/dapip/#/home ).
