You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the DEPT FLEET COMPTROLLER, FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.

Duties

You will perform a variety of administrative duties in support of the Comptroller department. You will review all outgoing correspondence for format accuracy, grammar, punctuation, spelling, clarity, proper assembly and compliance with DON Correspondence Manual ad Fleet Forces Command administrative policies/procedures. You will control procedures for all classified material in accordance with current USFF Headquarters’ classified material handling regulations. You will ensure the Comptroller department personnel comply with Naval Marine Corps Internet (NMCI) guidelines. You will analyze, develop, implement and evaluate policies, systems and procedures for control and dissemination of various kinds of documents.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

To qualify for a GS-09, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing a variety of administrative duties. Experience and ability to review correspondence to ensure compliance with the DoD correspondence manual. Experience in establishing control procedures for all classified material IAW Command Regulations. Experience and ability to analyze, develop, implement, and evaluate policies systems and procedures for control and dissemination of various kinds of documents. Experience, skill, and ability to develop budget estimates and justifications for supplies, equipment, and travel.
