You will serve as a STAFF ASSISTANT in the OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER of JOINT FORCE COMMAND NORFOLK.
Duties
You will serve as administrative assistant to the Assistant Chief of Staff (ACOS).
You will perform a variety of administrative duties to facilitate the efficient operations of the Directorate and provide support services associated with Office travel and transportation.
You will accomplish administrative projects and studies as directed including research and documentation.
You will oversee correspondence, prepare reports, graphs and briefing charts for a variety of presentation, and participate in formal/informal meetings and conferences.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying administrative practices and procedures to perform functions such as record management, travel, leave, reports control and supply.
Experience gathering data for inclusion in recommendations and preparation of reports.
Experience resolving administrative issues by using analytical and evaluative techniques.
Experience providing administrative services associated with Office travel.
Experience using a variety of office automation products such as Microsoft Word, Access, Office Power Point and other web-based application to perform various administrative duties.
Experience collecting, compiling and coordinating information from a variety of sources for use in portions of reports, manuals or directives.
Experience communicating both verbally and in writing in order to provide and request information, and explain conclusions and recommendations.
