About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Crane Army Ammunition Activity, Crane, Indiana. This position is under the Acquisition Demonstration Project. Duties

Design's, specifies, and/or implement's devices (eg. special tools, fixtures, dies, gages) in a manufacturing environment to meet customer requirements. Serves as the fabrication methods, tool and die designer supporting the depots manufacturing and fabrication missions. Coordinate's various complex projects involving tooling, process design, testing, and/or optimization. Applies tools of industrial engineering to develop/document Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and/or work instructions to ensure efficient and accurate fabrication of components and assemblies. Utilizes computer design programs (eg. Computer Aided Design, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) to develop and design complex tooling/gages in accordance with customer specifications. Serves as technical adviser to project engineers, mechanical engineers, planner/estimator, fabrication support team members and production supervisors in the metal working process.

• This position has been designated as non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R and requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
• This position requires a valid U.S. driver's license.
• This position requires on base driving privileges to be able to drive on the installation. Installation driving privileges are automatically granted with a valid U.S. Driver's License.
• This position may require the incumbent to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
