You will serve as a Technician in the Missile Energy Systems Branch (JXMS), Power and Energy Systems Division (JXM), Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX) NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will serve as a Senior Technical Lead within the Missile Energy Systems Branch (JXMS).
You will work within the Missile Energy Systems Branch and support a variety of batteries consisting of different chemistries and formats, as well as battery test systems and equipment.
You will provide technical and program support expertise to aid in development and sustainment of new or improved systems or equipment.
You will review and provide expert guidance on SP-24 Navigational Aid Systems technical and programmatic documentation (to include program plans, standard operating procedures, supplemental documents, test plans, and drawing packages).
You will oversee the calibration process, including maintaining the calibration schedule, evaluating calibration tolerances for various equipment items, and maintaining awareness of changes in calibration costs.
You will maintain the laboratory Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring that all tasking is completed correctly, safely, and on time per customer requirements.
You will provide input to task leads for labor aspects of cost estimates for incoming workload, based on historical outcomes and changes to testing
processes.
You will actively support the command explosive ordnance and NAVOSH programs through safe performance, hazard reporting, and monitoring of workplace conditions.
You will produce products with fleet safety as a primary consideration, and adhere to NAVOSH and all environmental rules and regulations and promote injury prevention through safe operations and practices.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical direction on analyzing, developing, and utilizing engineering methods and procedures to assess electrical systems, subsystems, or components for testing and evaluation of battery or energy systems and equipment ensuring operational readiness.
