Duties
You will serve as the subject matter expert and program lead for all aspects of creating, defining, and assessing the U.S. Navy’s engagement in the joint logistics arena.
You will coordinate and manage joint logistics briefings and key forum presentations.
You will develop, maintain, and exploit relationships to ensure Navy’s equities are preserved in the joint logistics arena.
You will provide input to and participates in the development of joint logistics doctrine.
You will review existing joint logistics policy and doctrine to identify and fill gaps.
You will develop and present briefing on joint logistics concepts and documents as required.
You will represent Navy interests and protect Navy equities at various joint Service meetings, working groups, and committees dealing with logistics issues.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Extended workdays (beyond eight hours) are occasionally required.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing highly developed knowledge of supply chain management to make decisions that can impact an organization and to develop new policies and procedures to improve logistics and supply support. Specialized experience includes most or all the following: 1) Developing logistics innovation presentations for leadership. 2) Integrating information, coordinating with stakeholders, and preparing briefings. 3) Developing potential courses of action based on coordinated evaluation of issues and providing timely recommendations to leadership on positions the organization should take on these issues. 4) Utilizing technical expertise to monitor industry technology and develop logistics improvements, initiatives, and requirements that will result in more effective and efficient logistics services and programs.
