This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Mission Support Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient operation and overall success of Manuever Support CDID.

Duties

Provide IT logistics support to ensure the organization continues its mission. Coordinate PC system imaging with service desk personnel. Distribute IT assets to DAC users. Gather IT hardware requirements according to organization's standard operating procedure.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This appointment is subject to completion of a 3 year trial period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.
• Work may require some physical effort, such as standing, walking, bending, or sitting. there are no special demands. May require lifting of up to 35 pounds.

Basic Requirement for LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST DE-0346-02: General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes (1) Provide customer service related to Information Technology (IT) hardware, and (2) Track and/or organize data using computer systems such as spreadsheets or/or word documents. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DE-01 (GS-04 Equivalent). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
