About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Serve as primary LRC advisor utilizing technical knowledge of contracting functions to provide oversight of designated contracted logistics performance work statements (PWS) requirements, tasks and functions. Perform all administrative requirements based on input from the technical leads to develop and revise the Quality Assurance Surveillance Plan (QASP). Manage and coordinate the execution of and forecasting of associated funding requirements. Provide advice and assistance to the Director and Division Chiefs in interpreting planning directives related to acquisition objectives. Recommend corrective actions to be taken to resolve contract problems and demonstrate ability to meet program goals.

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) overseeing a Quality Assurance Evaluator program for contract service requirements; 2) monitoring contractor performance; 3) managing contracts for Maintenance, Transportation, Supply, and various services that support logistics functions; 4) evaluating budget estimates to ensure the accomplishment of program objectives; and 5) developing performance work statements and inspection and surveillance plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementContracting/ProcurementOrganizational Performance AnalysisQuality ManagementTechnical CredibilityWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet the time in grade restrictions within thirty (30) days of the closing date of the announcement.
