About the Position: This position is located at the Logistics Readiness Center at Fort Leonard Wood. Fort Leonard Wood is located in the beautiful South-Central Missouri Ozarks. The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation to the North are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Outline policy direction and broad objectives for assigned areas of responsibility. Provide technical and administrative oversight in the areas of program management, personnel management, resource management, planning management, performance evaluation and improvement, as well as performing liaison responsibilities. Provide program oversight of operational support and integration of new logistical or changing concepts, and to develop methods and techniques required for program execution. Integrate Logistics Support Activities (LOGSA) products and Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) implementation and integration of contingency contracting and acquisition, logistics and technology (ALT) into LRC operations. Analyze and evaluate situation reports from LRC divisions which define findings and problems, and recommends resolutions and actions required to correct the situation. Plan overall work accomplishments, assign work to subordinates based on priorities and selective considerations of the difficulty of assignments and capabilities of employees.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) planning, coordinating or evaluating logistical operations and programs; 2) providing technical guidance regarding logistics management policies and procedures; 3) conducting analysis of logistics programs or operations; 4) preparing correspondence, briefings, plans, operations orders and fragmentary orders to support logistics operations; 5) participating in and/or chairing logistics and Base Levels of Support (BLS), workload meetings, operational planning meetings, teleconferences, and video teleconferences (VTCs) at multiple echelons; and 6) monitoring and advising of a comprehensive quality assurance program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
