Duties

Perform unit field studies and material readiness/mobilization evaluations and analyses of an assigned system or type of equipment for different activities within the Army Special operations Command (USASOC). Prepare recurring analyses of the readiness performance of designated systems/equipment assigned to activities and units. Prepare a variety of readiness studies of a broad and technical nature which may impact readiness related policies or require precedent setting solutions. Conduct short and long-range planning involving operations research and systems analysis to assure adequate resources are available to maintain a continuing awareness of system/equipment readiness. Apply the principles of life cycle management, considers facilities, equipment, geographic/climatic conditions, and usage projections to plan and implement comprehensive logistics programs. Develop and analyze logistics support policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, any changes thereto, and their impact on current support operations. Serve as Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) responsible for ensuring the proper utilization of government funds, and that the work performed is within the scope of the contract. Provides technical input to Defense Retail Inter-Service Support (DRIS) agreements. Perform systems analyses of complex programs and major problems associated with automated logistics systems.

Requirements

• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
