Duties

You will serve as the NSWC Indian Head Activity Command Information Officer. You will develop and execute NSWC IHD's command wide information technology (IT) vision, goals, strategies, priorities roadmaps, and policies to support mission requirements of the 2200+ industrial plant arsenal organization. You will analyze and synthesize complex data. You will develop recommendations and options, as an authoritative advisor to senior leadership. You will be responsible for the overall direction of the information technology (IT) infrastructure and systems for the organization, and must collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders within and outside NSWC IHD. You will design and implement innovative information technology programs which support mission requirements and met customer needs.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 752, proficiency level Advanced the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or managing development of Information Technology (IT) business policies or plans to ensure alignment with network operating system requirements and maintain cyber security risk posture/compliance for an IT program. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving..
