About the Position: This position will serve as a Range Officer with the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security, US Army Installation Command located at Fort Sill, OK.

Duties

Manage installation activities to execute the Sustainable Range Program (SRP) core programs, the Range and Training Land Program (RTLP) and Integrated Training Area Management (ITAM) Program in accordance with AR 350-19. Manage range activities to ensure safe operation of ranges and training land in accordance with AR 385-63, DA PAM 385-63, and other applicable regulations and guidance. Supervise and direct the work of the branch through subordinate supervisors. Directly responsible for the execution and cost accounting of the operating budgets.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent must attend and complete Department of the Army Range Safety Course within one year of appointment as range officer.
  • Incumbent of this position will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Incumbent must be qualified as Contract Officer Representative within one year of appointment.
