About the Position: This Test Management Officer position is located at various directorates within the U.S. Army Operational Test Command. One (1) position is located at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Eight (8) positions are located at Fort Cavazos, Texas. (merit) Recruitment incentive or relocation incentive may be authorized if it is determined to be in the best interests of the Government.

Duties

Serves as Division Chief of a Testing Division, managing the day-to-day operations of the Division. Responsible for the conceptual design, planning, execution, and reporting of operational tests, evaluations, and experiments. Provides training and guidance to assigned organizational personnel.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. Some positions may only require a Secret clearance.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is subject to applicant testing and random drug testing in accordance with DA guidelines for a Top Secret position. Some positions may not require drug testing.
  • This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Selectee must execute a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Test and Evaluation Certification within 60 months of entrance on duty.
  • This position is subject to a Temporary Duty or business travel requirement of 40% or less of the time.
  • A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • A one-year trial/probationary period may be required.
