You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Activity Operating Funds Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
***This position has a control point of GS-13 Step 10. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $105,383 - $137,000.
Duties
You will perform and advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will analyze, monitor and forecast budgets and execution and provide information and recommendations to higher level management.
You will provide direct supervision to the members of the Budget Formulation Division, assuring work efforts serve to meet mission requirements.
You will provide technical and administrative oversight, advice and instruction.

- This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate some or all of the following: 1) Providing financial management support, analysis, advice and guidance on formulation of budgets; 2) Conducting analytical studies, trend analyses and detailed plan vs actual execution analyses; 3) The ability to project end of year outcome; 4) Interpreting and analyzing financial reports and data; 5) Identifying and recommending solutions to budgetary problems; 6) Ensuring compliance with laws, directives and regulations; 7) Leading, supervising, motivating and counseling employees.
