You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst in the Budget Form Just & Execution Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
This position has a control point of GS-14 Step 10. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $122,198- $158,860.
Duties
You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
You will interview candidates for positions in the unit, and recommend appointment, promotion, or reassignment to such positions.
You will ensure sound fiscal management by observing and applying STRL position management and classification principles.
You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings
You will analyze, monitor, and reduce costs, forecast budgets, and provide information to higher level management on future staffing, facility space, and equipment needs.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13/14) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst. Specialized experiences must include duties related to the following: (1) Applying concepts, principle, practices, laws and regulations of budgeting and/or financing at a Navy Working Capital Fund activity and their relation to subordinate and senior levels; (2) Providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization programs and activities; (3) Developing and implementing budgetary/financial policies; and (4) Leading, supervising, motivating and counseling employees.
