This position serves as a Budget Analyst in the Office of Budget, Office of Financial Administration (OFA), Employment and Training Administration (ETA). The primary purpose of the position is to perform analytical, technical, and administrative duties related to budget formulation and execution, and provide advisory services to managers and program leads related to budgetary matters.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.

- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
You must meet one of the following to qualify for the Budget Analyst, GS-0560-11 as described below.
Specialized Experience
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-09, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience includes the following:
Preparing materials related to formulation, execution, or monitoring of an organization's budget;
Using financial management systems and/or automated software programs to create or maintain documents, reports, or spreadsheets to analyze financial data or track spending; and
Analyzing budget requirements and monitoring execution to maintain spending within allocation limits and in accordance with laws, policies, and procedures.
OR
Education: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related;
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: Applicable graduate education and specialized experience as defined above. The total percentage must equal at least 100%. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcript(s).
