About the Position: Serves as the Records Officer for the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO), Arlington National Cemetery (ANC), VA.

Duties

Develop instructional and informational materials for use in improving and standardizing recordkeeping systems (medial neutral). Develop and implement accurate, thorough, and up-to-date Records Management (RM) policies/procedures to facilitate effective and efficient record-keeping program organization wide. Publish articles for organization wide distribution concerning aspect of records management areas as required. Develop and implements accurate, thorough, and up-to-date RM policies/procedures to facilitate effective and efficient record-keeping program organization wide. Collaborate with managers of organizational activities to negotiate work-related changes, resolve problems, and improve information systems capabilities. Develop and champion long-range strategic goals and resource projections for RM programs to include preparing and monitoring program budgets.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Information ManagementOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
