You will serve as an IT Specialist (APPSW/DATAMGT) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Duties

You will have knowledge of and participate in AGILE Sprints to manage software development lifecycle. You will analyze functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to determine avenues of development or modification necessary to meet mission objectives. You will attend or set up development meetings such as sprint planning, scrums, retrospectives, etc. You will Translate IT systems requirements into applications prototypes; analyzes alternatives, and recommends solutions relating to the complete life cycle for information systems and information systems components. You will analyze System Change Requests (SCR) to determine user needs and develops solutions in terms of architecture, database, and software design as applicable. You will generate product roadmaps, production timetables, and time-integrated plans for product introduction.

Qualifications

I have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. To qualify for the GS-09 position: In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and managing automated data processing ( ADP) software applications to improve the efficiency of Nuclear Reactors Supply Chain Management Division ( NRSCMD) business processes across the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network ( NIPRNet) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program ( NNPP) networks. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing Oracle PL/SOL to perform software development and to create, modify, and maintain software solutions. May also use additional programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, UNIX, Visual Basic, or more. Utilizing logistic support disciplines such as provisioning, cataloging, allowance, and inventory management to ensure development of software that contains accurate and logical data structures. Preparing system documentation to improve software development processes in accordance with industry standards and to support information assurance audits. Preparing system documentation and recommendations to improving software development and configuration management processes in accordance with acceptable industry standards. Participating In systems requirement reviews and systems crucial design reviews, and coordinates with customer/functional representatives and other technical personnel to clarify requirements. Establishing target completion dates, prepares design documents and participates in critical design reviews. Participates in test readiness reviews and briefs technical and non-technical staff. Resolving critical issues affecting the configuration of the IT infrastructure and coordinate the demonstration of new and enhanced applications to customers and management. To qualify for the GS-07 position: In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and managing automated data processing ( ADP) software applications to improve the efficiency of Nuclear Reactors Supply Chain Management Division ( NRSCMD) business processes across the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network ( NIPRNet) and Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program ( NNPP) networks. GS-09 EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION:

You have successfully completed a related master's or equivalent graduate degree.
or
You have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a related master's degree.

GS-07 EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION:

I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
OR
I have successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement.
