About the Position: Serves as a Financial Management Analyst providing advice and guidance covering a wide variety of financial policies and requirements, with a focus on Defense Automated Time and Attendance and Production System (DATAAPS), Defense Civilian Pay System payroll customer service, and the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) labor management & accounting system. #ACC-DTA
Duties
Review, analyze, and interpret various financial documents and reports; recommend solutions to difficult and complex problems.
Assist customers in the resolution of problems pertaining to various financial management missions.
Interpret regulations promulgated by higher authority covering a variety of resource management disciplines and use this information to establish, prepare, and disseminate policy to customers.
Participate in meetings, task groups, and committees to obtain and disseminate resource management information.
Perform a full range of payroll Customer Service functions for a variety of customers which have varied pay plans.
Apply a variety of primary, statutory, regulatory, and precedent pay provisions pertaining to types of appointments, working hours and working conditions, pay, and leave.
Validate accuracy of timekeeping, pay, and leave records, and provide recommendations on resolutions.
Provide assistance to resolve problems involving the payroll, timekeeping, and accounting systems such as missing and mis-posted labor obligations and erroneous disbursements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a Financial Management Level II Certification.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.

Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Analyzing various financial documents to develop and recommend effective solutions; AND (2) Providing financial reports that show an organization's position on a variety of labor related conditions; AND (3) Utilizing corrective actions to resolve anomalies that affect timekeeping, payroll, and labor accounting; AND (4) Performing comprehensive customer service and interpreting financial management regulations.
