About the Position: This position will service as Team Leader of the TACOM G8 Payroll Office within Managerial Accounting. TACOM is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan which is in Detroit's largest suburb located about 15 miles north of downtown.
Duties
Coordinates the research, analysis, and resolution of customer inquiries on a wide range of financial, accounting, payroll/labor, and timekeeping issues.
Ensures that changes to employee payroll accounts (i.e., addresses, allotments, tax withholding amounts, etc.) are processed and that the Master Employee Record (MER) is established and accurate.
Provides professional advice and assistance to TACOM personnel, tenants, and other activities on aspects of the functional RM architecture.
Coaches the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assist in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- DoD Financial Management Certification level 2 is required for this position and must be achieved by the incumbent within two years of entrance into this position. Incumbent shall adhere to guidelines and requirements of this certification program.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
