About the Position: TACOM is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan which is in Detroit's largest suburb located about 15 miles north of downtown. The area offers world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, several prestigious universities, and collegiate and professional athletic venues.
Duties
Develop approaches and gathers information from functional users and managers to implement user-friendly applications, as it applies to financial management.
Participate in the development, periodic review, and revision of standard operating procedures applicable to financial management and accounting operations.
Receive reviews, records, processes, and monitors Army Working Capital Fund execution to ensure program funds are not misappropriated.
Develop bridges between applications and standard systems to enable development of financial reports and reduce the limitations of systems.
Coordinate with financial management office to initiate corrective transactions and assures that follow-up actions are taken as appropriate.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Preparing recurring regulatory and non-regulatory financial reports for distribution; (2) Analyzing/reconciling command level financial reports, identifying account discrepancies and proposing corrective action; (3) Performing assignments that require identifying, researching, and resolving financial problems; and (4) Interpreting and/or applying laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific financial issues and concerns. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
