This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Financial Management Service (FMS), Quality and Production Management Division (QPMD), Production System Operations Branch (PSOB).
Incumbent is a team member responsible for planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance activities of the SAP Process Integration (PI) Middleware system within the Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI) financial system for the agency.
Duties
Researches and installs complex enhancement packages and business content for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications. Assists in creating the roadmap and strategy for key components.
Assists in the performance of data refreshes from production to QA, system test, development, and/or sandbox.
Develops landscape strategies and batch scheduling.
Identifies and resolves critical problems for complex projects that cut across sections and/or branches within the division.
Conducts briefings for information systems on the application of new software implementation projects.
Requirements

Qualifications

Basic Education Requirement:
Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. Note: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions
Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which requires experience in Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Process Integration (PI)/Process Orchestration (PO) 7.5. This knowledge is crucial to successfully plan, document, execute and lead others in the maintenance and operations of Financial Management Modernization Initiative (FMMI) interface processing from day one. These skills are vitally important to ensure the agency maintains integrity, consistency and validity.

Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-13 position:
Have at least one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal Service or equivalent responsibility in the private sector/pay systems that equipped me with the competencies to successfully perform as an Information Technology Specialist (SYSADMIN). Such experience includes: 1) Experience in Systems Applications, and Products in DataProcessing (SAP) Process Integration (PI)/Process Orchestration 7.5 (PO), responsible for the connecting and integration of
applications, systems, and technologies design, development, and implementation of financial information technology systems, including assessing the overall impact of proposed changes, and developing or recommending a plan of action for implementing appropriate changes to include identifying resource needs and allocating resources; 2) Ensuring documentation and written guidelines for assigned applications systems are written to conform to required information technology standards and procedures; and 3) Identifying deficiencies, diagnosing problems, analyzing impacts, consulting, and making or suggesting revisions to controls and procedures for more efficient operations of an information technology program.

Time in grade: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade to be considered for the higher grade (e.g. one year at the GS-12 grade level for consideration for the GS-13 grade level).
