The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a first level supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over nonsupervisory employees assigned to HQ AFIMSC A33O.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of AFIMSC Operations Center, ensuring that the Operations Center complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents AFIMSC Operations Center with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Review all incoming correspondence to the Operations Center, then ensure those items are processed, tracked, and routed to the appropriate agencies for action.
When directed by HQ AFIMSC Senior Leaders, report all actions, as required, in the form of SITREPs to all appropriate Service and DoD agencies.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes experience analyzing and evaluating mission operation programs in order to develop policies and procedures to manage program standards, goals and objectives and to resolve conflicts involved in various projects, programs and operational issues that arise. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a comprehensive range of support functions, policies, procedures, practices, concepts, and theories related to the mission, management, and operation of Air Force Installation and Mission Support organizations to provide high level staff guidance
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with senior officials from a broad array of activities, including federal and local government, and industry
Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw conclusions; conduct analysis; devise recommended solutions: and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision making.
Skill in identifying actual or potential problem areas, trends, and/or similar factors to improve Air Force program operations and management systems.
