Duties
This position is located in the Secretariat and Information Management Branch in the Office of the General Counsel. The Records and Information Management Specialist helps build and carry out the work of the Commission’s Records and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Office (RCO). The incumbent has the following responsibilities:

- Subject to time-in-grade requirements, if applicable
Qualifications
CT-11 Level: To qualify for the CT-11 level:
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR
Three (3) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR
One (1) year of specialized experience at the CT/GS-09 grade level or equivalent; OR
Or a combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
Specialized experience is defined through which one has gained experience: Providing assistance in records management administration to internal and external stakeholders; Participating in planning records evaluations or audits of records to ensure adherence to policies related to retention and disposition of records;
CT-12 Level: To qualify for the CT-12 level:
Candidates must possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the CT/GS-11 grade level or equivalent;
Specialized experience is defined through which one has gained experience: Providing assistance in records management administration to internal and external stakeholders; Participating in planning records evaluations or audits of records to ensure adherence to policies related to retention and disposition of records; Developing tools for evaluating and auditing records to ensure policies related to retention and disposition of records is adhered to;
CT-13 Level: To qualify for the CT-13 level:
Candidates must possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the CT/GS-12 grade level or equivalent;
Specialized experience is defined through which one has gained experience: Communicating with stakeholders to obtain information and documents that are required for records and information management; Participating in planning records evaluations or audits of records to ensure adherence to policies related to retention and disposition of records; Developing tools for evaluating and auditing records to ensure policies related to retention and disposition of records is adhered to; Developing documents, including written policies and procedures, training materials, and file plans, that are used for records and information management.
Education
To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
