Duties
As a Supervisory Records and Information Management Specialist, you will:
Direct the Department's records management program, interprets and advises the Senior Agency Official for Records Management, and/or the Departmental Records Officer on existing, new, and potential records management statutes, regulations, or other legal requirements impacting the department.
Manage department-level records management program office and evaluates program office compliance with 36 CFR Chapter 12, including performance measurements where possible.
Develop and administer department-wide training, including specialized training for senior leaders, attorneys, procurement officials, and IT staff.
Coordinate with Office of the Chief Information Officer, to ensure systems development and operation comply with records regulations, security controls.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise to program offices in the identification of requirements and procurement of compliant systems.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Supervising or leading staff by planning, organizing, and coordinating workloads and evaluating performance standards in records and information management; AND
- Developing recommendations for improving the efficiency and performance of operational programs; AND
- Analyze and evaluate issues/problems related to records management operations, policies, and procedures and contributes to the development of major policies.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
