This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - JOINT SERVICES PROVIDER.
Duties
Oversee DISA J6 leadership strategic communication activities by setting communication objectives, evaluating performance, assessing needs for resources, recommending resource allocations, and providing coordination with other DISA elements.
Work with DISA J6 leadership and may work with other Directorate representatives within the agency, to analyze DISA J6’s cultural survey data and propose enhancements to business processes and DISA J6 culture and communication initiatives.
Analyze and evaluate on a quantitative and/or qualitative basis the effectiveness of staffing to meet established goals and objectives within the DISA J6.
Assist in developing short- and long-range staffing plans to meet forecasted mission requirements by serving as a planner, analyst, and advisor for DISA J6 on all types of manpower and personnel actions.
Oversees, manages, and plans work for the Workforce Development Section, ensuring that all workforce compliance requirements are met and maintained.
Develops employee performance standards and makes formal/informal appraisal of work, giving advice, counsel and/or instructions to employees as required.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience providing direction to subordinate staff; experience planning, coordinating, and conducting evaluative research and analyzing policies, and overseeing strategic communications activities.
