About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serves as a supervisor, providing planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over supervisory and nonsupervisory employees assigned to a division within the Operations Directorate.
Duties
Directs and oversees the integration, synchronization, coordination, planning, and execution of cyberspace and information operations, projects, and strategic policy initiatives.
Develops, reviews, and implements all levels of information operations and information related capability planning guidance in support of cyber operations.
Oversees Command-level special/innovation projects to improve information operations processes, tools, and overall capabilities.
Directs strategic and operational level planning across the full range of response options for information operations.
Performs analysis to improve effectiveness and efficiency of planning processes, coordination, and operations.
Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET SCI clearance as a condition of employment and must complete a counterintelligence scope polygraph exam.
- Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter according to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
- The incumbent may be recalled to duty, may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, and may be required to work overtime.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military and/or commercial aircraft.
- The incumbent must meet NSA personnel security requirements outlined in NSA/CSS Policy 5-1.
- One-year supervisory probationary period may be required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: Supervising a large organization with proficiencies in providing planning, directing, organizing and exercising control over supervisory and non-supervisory employees; providing operational expertise and oversight to subject matter experts (SMEs) to oversee plans and projects to optimize Special Access Programs (SAP).
