About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Rock Island, IL. This position serves as a Division Chief over a group of administrative financial management personnel who apply Resource Management (RM) principles and practices in performing a wide variety of complex financial management functions.
Duties
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates such as setting/adjusting short-term priorities and evaluating completion of work..
Uses financial systems to analyze, interpret, and extract financial data.
Resolves problems by examining or reconciling financial information.
Provides expert financial advice related to financial regulations, policies and program/system requirements.
Prepares financial documents such as reports, briefs, information papers, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually.
- This is a Financial Management Level 3 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period is required, if not previously completed.
- TDY Travel up to 20% of the time is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1. Utilizing various financial systems to create a variety financial reports; 2. Rendering authoritative interpretations of financial statements, reports, policies or procedures to resolve problems; 3. Reviewing complex financial programs for accuracy, completeness, and effectiveness of financial operations; 4. Assigning work to a team based on technical knowledge to ensure organizational goals are achieved. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
