About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Rock Island, IL. This position serves as Financial Management Analyst, applying Resource Management (RM) principles and practices to perform a wide variety of complex financial management and accounting system functions.
Duties
Uses financial theories, practices, policies, and procedures to identify, research, and resolve difficult financial problems.
Provides expert financial advice and recommendations to Command commodity teams and managers regarding customer programs covering the full spectrum of financial policies and program/system requirements.
Analyzes, interprets, and extracts financial data from various financial systems.
Examines and reconciles customer financial reports, resolving problems and implementing policies and requirements.
Prepares and consolidates special financial reports, briefs, and documents such as information papers, regulations, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret Clearance.
- TDY up to 10% is required.
- Financial Management Level 2 certification is required. Failure to obtain within the required time may result in adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Extracting data from financial system to evaluate financial operations, policies, or procedures; 2. Analyzing program plan and funding changes effect on financial program goals; 3. Reviewing data for the purpose of identifying deficiencies or gaps. 4. Conducting in-depth research to provide interpretation of polices or guidelines or to provide solutions to problems that effect accounting or funding. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level position in the federal service (GS-12).
