This position is part of the Publication Information and Sales, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia.
Duties
Organize the work for the section.
Manage change in procedures and implement into the systems operation with minimal interruption.
Coordinate status on out-of-stock publications information current.
Ensure that postal samples, order samples, quality control checks etc., are completed within specified timeframes.
Participate actively with supervisors in scheduling and planning work on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements
- You must be a current Career or Career Conditional GPO employee to apply.
- Selectee may be required to pass preemployment requirements prior to appointment.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability clearance.
- Selectee must undergo a background investigations for a Suitability background investigation.
- Selectee may be required to serve a one year probationary period.
- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify
Qualifications
To qualify for the Senior Supply Technician, PG - 2005 - 6 , you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum Qualifications for Position (Specialized Experience Statement/ FWS Screen out) (HC/HM): For the position of the Supply Technician PG-2005-06, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-5 grade level in the Federal Service related to the work of the position. The specialized experience is defined as performing typical duties related to the work of the position such as: 1) Receiving business publication requests for supplies using a computerized stock accounting system for bar coding, 2) Generating reports to produce mailing labels for customer back order, and 3) Assists in the training of new employees.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (01/02/2025) to be considered.
Education
Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used or this grade level.
