This position is part of the Publication Information and Sales, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
Duties
Plans, directs, coordinates, organizes, and controls the Support Services Unit's (SSU) administrative, financial services and operational functions.
Performs a variety of transactions and ensures consistency and any appropriate cross references for all data entered.
Serves as the primary point of contact for all vendors and agency customers.
Provide customer service to our agency customers or public customers.
Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
Requirements
- You must be a current Career or Career Conditional GPO employee to apply.
- Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.

- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.
- Work may require frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping and occasional carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds or card and supplies.
- Work is performed indoors in a warehouse environment and temperatures are subject to seasonal variations.
- Selectee must undergo a background investigations for a Public Trust.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Lead Supply Techician, PG -2005-7, you must meet the following requirements:
The applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-6 grade level in the Federal Service related to the work of the position.
The specialized experience: 1) Managing stock control levels and review replenishment quantities. 2) Monitor inventory management systems. 3) Provide software applications in an automated environment, to include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
