The primary purpose of this position is: Serves as a multi-source intelligence analyst engaging in the complex technical research, analysis, interpretation, and assessment of information obtained and processed from one or more intelligence sources in support of customer requirements. Provides intelligence supportability analysis of current and proposed weapon systems, technologies, and programs.

Duties

DUTY 1 - Serves as a multi-source Intelligence Specialist. Performs complex intelligence analysis with emphasis on Air Force, DoD and Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) programs/systems and leads team(s)/projects supporting Major Command (MAJCOM), Air Force and DoD acquisition processes and programs. DUTY 2 - Provides Intelligence support to DoD/USAF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes. Employs expertise to achieve technical understanding of U.S. and Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) weapon system's intelligence information requirements to identify and minimize cost, schedule, and performance risks early in the systems' life-cycle as possible. DUTY 3 - Presents Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) and Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) capabilities to a variety of program office, service, national, and/or coalition customers. DUTY 4 - Serves as an Intelligence authority on Specific Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) programs, Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) Weapon System or issues.

Qualifications

This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and United States Air Force. serve as an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Resource Management Branch. Employee will need to accurately convey the operators' needs when drafting requirements documents and help System Program Office (SPO) engineers better understand the operational need and explain how fulfillment of the requirement will help operators execute assigned ISR tasks. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships of the IC, DoD, and USAF. 2. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's life- cycle; Acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of USAF research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life-cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises. 3. Knowledge of the full range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements. 4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers and clients. 5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. 6. Ability to quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and competing resources, based on mature judgement and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively. Conditions of Employment continued: 1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. 2. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
