About the Position: This position is located in the U.S. Army Material Command, Logistics Data Analysis Center, Program Management Division at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.
Duties
Serve as manager on information system technology, receiving general direction from the Chief, Program Management Division (PMD), Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC).
Serve as a catalyst for incorporating new technologies and project methodologies into various Army and DoD automated logistics systems.
Responsible for defining issues, researching problems, developing alternative solutions, performing cost/benefits analyses, and recommending solutions to develop, improve and update automated logistics systems.
Serve as a Team Leader to a group of personnel specialists, functional users, information specialists, operations research analysts, database specialists, communication specialists, and hardware specialists, to provide project leadership.
Serve as a supervisor to a group of personnel responsible for the LDAC program.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Incumbent of this position is required to file a Statement of Employment and Financial Interest, as required by AR 600-50.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
Qualifications
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUE:
This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Unless specifically granted a position waiver by the Director of Acquisition Career Management or the Army Acquisition Executive the following requirements are mandated:
Selectee must execute a written tenure agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years.
Selectee must obtain the highest Career Category Level of certification in the assigned Career Category/Functional Area. The exception is Program Management, which requires Practitioner or higher Career Level certification. The assigned Career Category/Functional Area and Career Level Certification Category can be found on the sequenced position Conditions of Employment data fields in the header of the PD/PRD.
Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.
Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: interpreting and developing information system technology policies; integrating systems; leading teams or projects resolving complex technical or programmatic issues; managing subordinates' workload; identifying and developing ways to resolve problems and coping with issues which directly affect accomplishment of program goals.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
