You will serve as a MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Directorate Ship Management, Fleet Support Special Mission Ships (RM2) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.
Duties
You will seek and develop opportunities and use analysis to make recommendations for improving the predictability, procurement and application of program resourcing needs.
You will prepare and present study findings and make recommendations to Resources Manager for presentation to senior organizational leaders.
You will develop analysis methods, determine methods to gather data, select appropriate statistical/analytical procedures, and develop reports and recommendations that are accepted and implemented by the programs.
You will develop, organize, coordinate and conduct cost analysis and implement best practices to include special projects/studies working cross collaboration efforts across various divisions.
You will review and track planning efforts of program maintenance and repair efforts to include: short and long-range work plans and lifecycle sustainment plans on program ships.
You will review and track planning efforts of class alterations/modernization initiatives, maintenance budgets, and schedules for implementing repair plans on program ships.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
To qualify for the MANAGEMENT ANALYST, GS-0343-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in applying a variety of qualitative and/or quantitative analytical methods to evaluate maintenance and report programs.
Experience in ship operations and developing procedures to enhance ship readiness and compliance.
Experience implementing cost accounting practices and principles for planning, programming and budgeting procedures and processes.
Experience demonstrating commercial and naval maritime concepts, practices, operations and ship management in relation to ship programs.
