You will serve as a Fuel Distribution System Worker Leader in the Fuels Division and Airfield Suppot Department of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will ensure personnel carry out the work assignments as directed by the Installation Fuels officer and Fuels Distribution System Supervisor.
You will distribute requirements and priorities to fuels distribution system workers and personnel based on established priorities, schedules, workload distribution and manpower availability.
You will operate one or more types of special purpose design aviation and ground fuel trucks having a capacity of up to 10,000 gallons and gross weight in excess of 100,000 pounds used to fuel/defuel various types of aircraft/ground fuel vehicles.
You will operate aircraft direct refueling system to perform aircraft refueling with engines operating which is significantly more dangerous than performing refueling operation by mobile refueling truck.
You will organize baggage/cargo on military cargo pallets, secures load utilizing transportation cargo netting, and transports pallets to aircraft by forklift or baggage cart if not using military pallet system.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

I have the ability to lead/supervise others who perform the full range of Fuel Distribution System Worker Leader tasks including inspecting, operating, handling a stationary fuel delivery system, mobile refuelers, ground support equipment (hoses, pumps, tanks and fittings) and refueling vehicles up to ten thousand gallons; leads and distributes work to lower level workers to accomplish fuel distributions system work insuring instructions has been complied with and establish priorities, schedules, workloads distribution and manpower availability have been met. I visually inspect fuel and inform supervisor of any unusual cargo such as classified or dangerous cargo; monitor the operation of gauges and meters; obtain, analyze and document fuel samples at point of receipt and issue, obtain and analyze fuel samples from transient and fleet aircraft prior to defueling to determine disposition requirements; comply with established regulations for handling fuel and laws and regulations to handle hazardous materials; I also handle aircraft, personnel, cargo and ground support equipment to accomplish incoming and outgoing passenger/ cargo movement and special operations.
