You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.
Duties
You will perform a variety of daily routine Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) duties, involving all aspects of acquiring subsistence provisions, both Perishable, and Semi-Perishable items.
You will coordinate levels of supply and demand with the prime vendor, to ensure an accepted fill rate for customers.
You will validate processes, research discrepancies, and follow-up on outstanding contracts and due-in receipts.
You will interface between the Fleet and prime vendor to resolve all subsistence issues from time of order inception, until the delivery of the subsistence.
You will perform duties that assist the Customer Service Officer: researching/conducting preliminary data collections for quality, and performance studies/surveys, resolve conventional problems, resolve conventional problems, conducting training,etc.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying a practical knowledge of well-established, and commonly applied supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in order to perform Supply Specialist work, investigating, analyzing, and resolving a variety of supply operations, procurement, management, and inventory problems related acquiring subsistence provisions. Experience communicating factual and procedural information clearly, orally, and in writing is also required. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Procurement of subsistence provisions (both Perishable and Semi-Perishable), in order to coordinate actions with vendors and customers, and so specific customer requests are satisfied; 2) Gather investigate, and process all orders/receipts, by means of personal computers, accessing various software applications and databases, such as Logistics Support-Customer Relationship Management (LS-CRM), REMEDY, STORESWEB, Microsoft Office, etc.; 3) Receive material requests from customers, and coordinate the best method of acquisition; 4) Analyze, plan, and carry out successive steps, and recommend actions to eliminate problems/deviations involved in the delivery of subsistence services to supply customers.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
