Duties
You will serve as Deputy to the Assistant Chief of Staff of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence systems.
You will effectively operate in the dynamic organizational structure which includes coordinating, mediating, and reconciling often diverse perspectives of other Headquarters.
You will serve as the senior expert civilian advisor to internal and external stakeholders to align strategies, dealing with all Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence and overall administration.
You will be responsible for evaluating existing programs and business practices to assess current state of performance and program
execution.
You will be responsible for taking corrective action on complex critical issues, including organizational realignment and process reengineering.
You will work closely with component commands to ensure proper support is provided to operational units by continuously reviewing and analyzing system metrics, identifying problem areas, and seeking effective resolution.
You will initiate and guide programs in determining metrics including cost and performance associated with staffing and sustaining the programs.
You will compile and analyze information needed to review and improve cost/performance methodologies and customer/employee measurement.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

- This position is subject to random counterintelligence scope polygraph examinations.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading or managing Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence Department with responsibilities that span a wide range of functional disciplines; and program management, strategic planning, existing business processes, process improvement initiatives, metrics analysis, or budget execution for a Special Operations Command.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: He/she is responsible for all information technology (IT) (including national security systems and defense business systems), information resources management (IRM), and efficiencies.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Works closely with other ACOS/DACOS to align with the DoD Digital Modernization Strategy.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Initiate and guide programs in determining metrics including cost and performance associated with staffing and sustaining the NSW C4I programs.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Performs continuous management assessment of all efforts supporting the Command's Automated Information program, world-wide, as indicated by progress reports or user feedback, redirects efforts and reallocates resources to effectively meet user requirements.
