Duties
The Supervisory Program Specialist position is located in the Systems Operation Control Section (SOCS), Flight Operations Branch, Flight Operations Division, Law Enforcement/Federal Air Marshal Service (LE/FAMS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:
Serves as a Supervisory Program Specialist in the Reservation Unit (RU), Systems Operation Control Section (SOCS), Flight Operations Division within LE/FAMS under the direction of a manager.
Manages and ensures that reports and reconciliation of sales data, ticketing history and sales reporting are completed in accordance with the Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC).
Conducts quality control checks to ensure all reservations established within the Global Distribution System (GDS) are in compliance with Reservations Standard Reservations Standard Operating Policies (SOPs).
Facilitates resolution for systems issues to ensure business continuity.
Builds and maintains extensive relationships with other internal unit Supervisors and external airline stakeholders to facilitate mission staffing requirements, develop and maintain automated systems, and support LE/FAMS mission and operations.
Qualifications
To qualify at the SV-I pay band (equivalent to GS-13 grade level): you must have one year of specialized experience at the SV-H/GS-12 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is defined as:
Ensuring and tracking the information in the Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) are accurate and in compliance with regulations.
Managing travel agency reporting requirements for three separate agencies in the FAM program.
Processing SABRE LNIATA (terminal line address) ordering/assignments and reconciliation for agency use of SABRE Red product.
Conducting research into potential problems to determine cause and find best approach for immediate resolution.
Supervising and managing the reservation travel system to ensure that data are completed in accordance with Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC).
Leading a team and/or fostering collaboration, assigning and evaluating work among team members.
Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
