This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Southwest Region in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

NOTE:
TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.
Duties
Receives and controls mail; sorting and delivering to staff and assembling outgoing mail.
Proofreads and finalizes all outgoing correspondence to verify accuracy.
Coordinates, organizes, and assists in preparing for meetings.
Monitors and tracks fiscal obligations, expenditures, and availability of funds.
Serves as timekeeper for program staff.
Requisition office supplies, equipment, printing, and services utilizing the Government purchase card applying knowledge of procurement guidelines.
Assist in the proper maintenance and disposal of files and records.
Receives visitors, answers telephone calls, and routes to appropriate staff.
Makes all necessary arrangements for travel and training.
Requirements

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303).
GS-7: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Examples of specialized experience include gathering data; preparing and reviewing reports and correspondence; tracking correspondence through a software system; reviewing travel arrangements and processing vouchers; arranging conferences, meetings, training sessions; ensuring all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met; assisting with budget activities; maintaining office filing systems and records; responding to general telephone inquiries and correspondence; preparing purchase orders and requisitions; utilizing software to log information and maintain a database including incoming and outgoing mail; perform timekeeping functions.
