About the Position: This is a Test Score Technician position that operates within the Testing section of the MEPS. The duty location for this position is in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Duties
Serves as liaison to MEPS Service Liaisons for Test Score reporting.
Reports and investigates incidents of Test Loss/Compromise.
Ensures test score integrity to include: oversight of applicant eligibility to test or re-test; articulates special test situations to HQ Testing Division in order to obtain HQs approval/disapproval to exceptions to policy.
Ensures standard and secure score transmittal procedures are in place for locations where automated testing or scoring equipment is used.
Ensures that test scores are valid and entered into the automated system in a timely manner and consistent with policies and procedures for the DoD Military Personnel Testing Program.
Oversees the use of automated scoring equipment and conducts scoring analysis to ensure proper function and validation of test scoring.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.
- Regular evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
- Frequent local travel and occasional TDY required.
- This position requires the ability to possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Specialized Experience required for the GS-07 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as Performing data entry of testing results into an automated system; Ensuring security of all controlled materials when conducting test sessions; Utilizing guidance to resolve issues related to test scoring automation systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
